NIU celebrates new graduates at May commencement ceremonies

Congratulations to the Huskies who graduated from NIU this May! Approximately 1,600 undergraduate students and nearly 600 graduate students participated in commencement ceremonies May 9 and May 10 at the Convocation Center in front of proud families, friends and supporters.

NIU College of Law graduates will receive their degrees on May 31 at the Holmes Student Center.

“What a joy it is to see students achieving their goal of graduating from NIU,” Executive Vice President and Provost Laurie Elish-Piper said. “We are excited for all our graduates and look forward to the great things they will do as they enter new chapters of their lives as NIU alums.”

During the ceremonies, graduates and guests enjoyed videos featuring stories of Huskies who graduated this May, along with music from the talented NIU Steelband.
