NIU to host Career Success Clinic

After a successful inaugural event during the fall 2025 semester, NIU Career Services will be hosting its second Career Success Clinic. The event is scheduled for 4:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3 at Holmes Student Center on NIU’s DeKalb campus.

Last fall, 20 employers, alumni and campus partners volunteered to coach more than 150 students on networking and resumes, with Adobe highlighting creative tools and Braven sharing information about its career-readiness course.

During the upcoming Career Success Clinic, students will be able to polish their résumés and LinkedIn profiles, perfect their elevator pitches and connect with professionals. The interactive event is designed to help students feel confident and career-ready, no matter where they are in their career journey. Students should bring a copy of their resume or laptop to the event.

This is a low-pressure, skill-building event, unlike a traditional career fair. Support will be available in one-on-one or small group formats, making it more approachable for students who might find large-scale events overwhelming.

Students will have access to:

  • Real-time feedback from recruiters and NIU alumni
  • Tools and tips for standing out at career fairs, interviews and beyond
  • A free professional photobooth for headshots, provided by Braven
  • Huskie Closet for free professional clothing
  • Featured speakers: Adobe and Braven, plus representatives from Omron, Target, COOP and Amazon

The Career Success Clinic is open to all majors and class years, and is approved for Huskie Career Launchpad, Honors Engaged and Business Passport.

Students can RSVP to the event via our Huskie Career Launchpad to secure a spot. Students can get a head start on résumé building by logging in to Quinncia prior to the Career Success Clinic. We look forward to seeing you at this event!
