Congratulations to the newest graduates of NIU! More than 1,700 undergraduate students and more than 550 graduate students participated in commencement ceremonies May 8 and May 9 at the Convocation Center to the delight of their families, friends and supporters.
NIU College of Law graduates will receive their degrees on May 30 at the Holmes Student Center.
“It is a privilege to see our students reach this milestone and prepare to move on to the next chapter of their lives,” Executive Vice President and Provost Laurie Elish-Piper said. “We look forward to the achievements our graduates will make as alums of NIU and wish them continued success in their lives.”
During the ceremonies, attendees enjoyed videos featuring stories of graduating Huskies, plus the sounds of the NIU Steelband.
Graduates also participated in Gradpalooza April 30 at the Holmes Student Center, where they had the opportunity to decorate caps, take photos and connect with the NIU Alumni Association.
Thank you to staff members who volunteered their time and faculty who showed their support for graduating students by attending this May’s commencement ceremonies.
