Professor Reeb made a meaningful impact on my success in NURS 333 (Med-Surg 2 Clinical). During our time on the telemetry floor, she helped me develop a much deeper understanding of how the heart functions, as well as why complications occur and how to respond appropriately in those moments. She asks thoughtful questions to ensure student understanding of pathophysiology and medication side effects/therapeutic effects/administration rights and ensures that students truly understand the material before moving on, which strengthened both my confidence in patient care as well as my clinical judgement.
Despite her extensive knowledge and advanced education, she creates an environment where students feel comfortable learning and asking questions without fear of judgment. She never makes anyone feel inadequate. Instead, she meets students where they are and helps them grow.
What sets Professor Reeb apart even more is her genuine care for her students, not only academically but personally. She took the time to check in with me and offer support as I navigated a difficult personal situation, which meant a great deal.
If Professor Reeb taught more courses in the nursing program, I would choose her every time. She is truly an exceptional educator who goes above and beyond to support her students’ success.
