Dr. Rodgers provided me with many opportunities to navigate my master’s studies here at NIU. As an international student, I faced a knowledge gap during my first few weeks of lectures, but that was also when I felt my advisor (Dr. Rodgers) had the greatest impact on me, as she always encouraged me and reminded me of my strengths.
Eventually, I started bridging that gap in the following weeks of my first semester, and I am excited to share that I will be graduating on May 8 with a good GPA.
I sincerely appreciate Dr. Diane Rodgers of the Sociology and Criminology Department, who also serves as the graduate program director.
